Natural Latex Rubber Probe Covers

FITone ultrasound probe covers are made from natural rubber latex with a smooth, flexible surface to cover compatible probes during suitable examinations. Each cover is individually wrapped for convenient handling before use. Intended for use by trained professionals in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. Probe covers do not replace probe cleaning and disinfection.

1. Check whether the patient has a latex allergy before use.
2. Check the expiry date and inspect the packaging and cover for damage.
3. Ensure the probe has been cleaned and disinfected according to the manufacturer’s instructions and facility protocol.
4. Open the packaging carefully. Avoid sharp objects that could damage the cover.
5. Use ultrasound gel compatible with the cover and probe, as directed by the manufacturer.
6. Position the cover over the probe tip and gently unroll it over the required area. Smooth out trapped air and check for tears.
7. After the examination, carefully remove and discard the cover according to clinical waste procedures, then clean and disinfect the probe.
