1. Inspect the cylinder, regulator, pressure gauge, and valves. Do not use the system if any component is damaged or leaking.
2. Keep the cylinder upright and secure it inside the carrying bag or an appropriate cylinder holder.
3. Confirm that the cylinder valve is closed and the flow control is set to zero before connecting any accessories.
4. Install the regulator securely according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Installation should be performed by a trained person when required.
5. If humidification is prescribed, fill the humidifier bottle only with sterile or distilled water up to the indicated level. Do not overfill.
6. Securely connect compatible oxygen tubing and a nasal cannula or oxygen mask to the outlet.
7. Point the outlet away from yourself and the patient, then slowly open the cylinder valve.
8. Check the pressure gauge and inspect all connections for leakage.
9. Set the oxygen flow to the prescribed rate only. Never change the rate without medical advice.
10. Check the pressure gauge regularly to ensure that sufficient oxygen remains.
11. After use, close the cylinder valve, release residual pressure according to the product manual, and return the flow control to zero.
12. Clean reusable accessories as recommended. Never immerse the regulator or pressure gauge in water.

• Separate full cylinders from empty cylinders and regularly check the expiry and inspection dates.
