Sterile evacuated blood collection tubes containing K₂-EDTA anticoagulant, designed to preserve blood cell integrity and support accurate Complete Blood Count (CBC) results. Available in 0.5 mL for neonatal use and 4 mL for routine testing.
K₂-EDTA tubes are used for venous blood specimen collection and hematology testing. The K₂-EDTA additive prevents clotting and helps maintain blood cell morphology, making the tubes suitable for CBC testing and cell morphology assessment. The 0.5 mL version is made of polypropylene (PP), measuring 8 × 45 mm, and is suitable for infant and neonatal specimens. The 4 mL version is made of clear PET, measuring 13 × 75 mm, and is intended for routine blood testing.
• Contains K₂-EDTA anticoagulant.
• Helps preserve blood cell morphology.
• Suitable for CBC testing and cell morphology assessment.
• Sterile, evacuated, single-use tube.
• Purple cap following the commonly used EDTA tube color code.
• Available in 0.5 mL and 4 mL capacities.
• The 0.5 mL capacity is suitable for neonatal specimens.
• The 4 mL capacity is suitable for routine hematology testing.
This tube is designed for:
• Complete Blood Count (CBC).
• Cell morphology analysis.
• Routine neonatal hematology testing.
• Micro-volume hematology workflows requiring EDTA anticoagulation.
• 100 × K₂-EDTA Tube.
• For single use only - do not reuse or re-sterilize.
• Do not use if the tube is cracked, leaking, or contaminated.
• Excessive shaking may cause hemolysis and inaccurate results.
