1. Submerge the splint in hot water at approximately 70°C (160°F) for about 3 minutes, or until it becomes soft and pliable.
2. Carefully remove the splint from the water, gently dry it with a clean, soft cloth, and allow it to cool to a safe temperature before applying it to the skin.
3. Position the splint over the bridge of the nose and gently mold it to fit the natural contours, following the guidance of a qualified healthcare professional.
4. If required, secure the splint using medical tape or an appropriate elastic bandage, ensuring it is comfortable and not excessively tight to avoid restricting circulation.
