Adscope® 608 Convertible Clinician Stethoscope

The Adscope® 608 is a professional medical stethoscope designed for healthcare professionals during routine clinical examinations. It helps users listen to heart, lung, and other body sounds and is suitable for use in hospitals, clinics, medical centers, and healthcare training facilities.

The stethoscope incorporates a convertible chestpiece, allowing it to be configured for adult or pediatric examinations according to the intended use. Its AFD technology enables users to switch between low and high frequencies by adjusting the pressure applied to the chestpiece, without needing to change it during the examination.

The stethoscope is designed for frequent professional use, taking into consideration acoustic clarity, clinician comfort during wear, and patient comfort when the chestpiece comes into contact with the skin.

Its surgical stainless-steel components, combined with flexible tubing, provide a practical and reliable user experience across various healthcare environments.

Intended for use by healthcare professionals to listen to heart, lung, and other body sounds in adult and pediatric patients as an aid in clinical assessment.

1. Select and securely attach the appropriate adult or pediatric configuration.
2. Point the eartips forward and insert them gently.
3. Position the chestpiece over the examination area.
4. Apply light pressure for low frequencies and firm pressure for high frequencies.
5. Clean all contact surfaces after each use and check the eartips and tubing for damage.

• For use by trained healthcare professionals; do not rely on it as the sole basis for diagnosis.
• Do not use if the chestpiece, tubing, or eartips are loose or damaged.
• Avoid excessive pressure on the patient or deep insertion of the eartips.
• Follow infection-control procedures; do not immerse or steam-sterilize.
• Avoid strong solvents, extreme temperatures, and prolonged direct sunlight.
• Do not pull the tubing forcefully or use incompatible replacement parts.
• Discontinue use if irritation or discomfort occurs. 
• Do not use steam sterilization or an autoclave.

• Wipe the stethoscope and eartips with a soft cloth and a suitable disinfectant; do not immerse in liquids and allow to dry completely.
• Store in a clean place away from heat, moisture, and direct sunlight without tightly coiling the tubing.
