Adscope® 606 Ultra-Light Cardiology Stethoscope

The Adscope® 606 brings cardiology-level acoustic performance to a lightweight stethoscope designed for everyday clinical use. Its precision-machined aluminum dual-head chestpiece combines a sensitive diaphragm for higher-frequency sounds with a deep bell for lower-frequency sounds.

With AFD technology, the diaphragm’s acoustic response changes according to contact pressure: light pressure supports low-frequency listening, while firmer pressure brings out higher frequencies. Flexible dual-bore tubing and a cardiology-style headset help carry sound to the ears, while Adsoft™ Plus silicone eartips provide a comfortable fit and acoustic seal.

The stethoscope measures approximately 71 cm in overall length and weighs approximately 130 g. It includes two spare pairs of eartips and a scope ID tag.

1. Before use, check that the eartips are securely attached and that the diaphragm and tubing are in good condition.
2. Place the eartips in your ears and adjust the headset for a comfortable fit and proper acoustic seal.
3. Select the required side of the chestpiece: the diaphragm for higher-frequency sounds or the bell for lower-frequency sounds. Rotate the chestpiece until it clicks into position.
4. When using the AFD diaphragm, apply light pressure at the examination site to hear lower frequencies, then increase the pressure to hear higher frequencies.
5. After the examination, wipe the chestpiece, tubing, headset, and eartips between patients with a 70% isopropyl alcohol wipe or a suitable disposable wipe with soap and water.
6. Allow the parts to dry before the next use, and periodically check that the eartips remain securely attached.

• Use the stethoscope for medical examination and interpret its findings as part of a complete clinical assessment.
• Do not use it if the chestpiece or tubing is damaged, or if the eartips are loose or not securely attached.
• Avoid excessive pressure on the examination site, and do not insert the eartips too deeply into the ears.
• Clean the stethoscope between patients in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and infection-control procedures.
• Do not immerse it in liquid or sterilize it with steam or in an autoclave.
• Avoid solvents, oils, extreme heat or cold, and prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.
• Do not pull forcefully on the tubing, and check that replacement parts are compatible before fitting them.
