Adtemp™ Non-Contact Thermometer

The ADC Adtemp™ 429 Non-Contact Thermometer utilizes advanced infrared technology to provide fast, accurate, and hygienic temperature measurements without touching the patient's skin. It measures forehead temperature in approximately one second from a recommended distance of 4–6 cm while minimizing the risk of cross-contamination. The thermometer also supports object temperature measurement, features a large backlit LCD display, 30-reading memory, silent night mode, audible measurement confirmation, automatic power-off, and ergonomic handheld design for comfortable daily use.

• Designed for non-contact measurement of human forehead temperature and object surface temperature in hospitals, clinics, healthcare facilities, screening stations, and home care.

1.Power On

• Press the Measure button. The thermometer performs a self-check and is ready for use.

2.Select Measurement Mode

Press the Human/Object button to choose:

• Body Mode for forehead temperature.
• Object Mode for surface temperature.

3.Position the Thermometer

• Hold the thermometer 4–6 cm (1.5–2.5 in) from the center of the forehead.

4.Take a Measurement

• Press the Measure button and keep the thermometer steady.
• When the measurement is complete (approximately 1 second), the temperature will appear on the display with an audible beep (unless Night Mode is enabled).

5.View Memory

• Press the Memory button to review the last 30 stored readings.

6.Automatic Power-Off

• The thermometer automatically turns off after approximately 30 seconds of inactivity.

7.Battery Replacement

• Replace the 2 AAA batteries when the low battery indicator appears.

• Allow the thermometer to acclimate to room temperature before use if moved between environments.

• Remove the batteries if the thermometer will not be used for an extended period.
