The system requires only a small blood sample and provides fast results. Blood glucose testing uses approximately 0.5 μL of blood with results available in 5 seconds, while ketone testing uses approximately 0.8 μL of blood with results available in 8 seconds.

The MultiSure GK Blood Glucose and Ketone Monitoring System is intended for the quantitative measurement of blood glucose and blood ketone levels using fresh capillary whole blood from the fingertip. It is intended to support diabetes self-monitoring and assist in the detection of elevated ketone levels associated with diabetic ketoacidosis risk.

1. Insert the appropriate test strip into the meter.
2. Prepare the lancing device and obtain a fingertip blood sample.
3. Apply the blood sample to the test strip.
4. Wait for the result to appear on the screen.
5. Read the result after 5 seconds for glucose or 8 seconds for ketone.
6. Dispose of the used strip safely after testing.
