1. Wash and dry your hands before handling the bag or tubing.
2. Ensure that the bottom drain valve is closed before use.
3. Securely connect the tubing to the catheter as directed by a healthcare professional, avoiding contact with the connection points.
4. Always hang the bag below bladder level and never place it on the floor.
5. Keep the tubing straight and free from twists or kinks that may restrict drainage.
6. Regularly check the connections and urine flow into the bag.
7. When emptying, hold the valve over a suitable container and open it without allowing the outlet tip to touch the container.
8. Close the valve securely after emptying, then wash your hands.
