1. Carefully remove a slide from the box and hold it by the edges.
2. Ensure that the slide is clean, undamaged, and free from dust before use.
3. Write the sample identification details on the frosted end using a suitable marker.
4. Place the prepared specimen on the transparent area of the slide.
5. Apply a cover glass when required.
6. Secure the slide on the microscope stage and examine the specimen.
7. Handle or dispose of the slide after use according to established laboratory procedures.
